Semco sales manager for the parent equipment sales centre in Queanbeyan Mark Skimmings said he was ecstatic with the response to the Goulburn sales centre.
“We were very pleased to bring the New Holland brand along with the other popular brands we supply back to Goulburn,” Mark said.
“We have always had a good Goulburn and Crookwell district customer base, but having the Goulburn sales centre means we can reach our potential customers more easily.”
Semco Goulburn offers spare parts as well as equipment sales and full on farm or worksite servicing and repairs with the service team lead by local operations and service manager Allan Churchill.
A recent addition to the Semco Goulburn team is Local sales manager John Walsh.
John Walsh is a local part time farmer and horse breeder with a wealth of sales experience.
He prides himself on matching his customers’ requirements to the equipment they need to do the job and see them satisfied with its performance well into the future.
Mr Walsh has 30 years sales and marketing experience with the Sky Channel as national sales manager and Radio 2KY sales manager.
As a thoroughbred breeder Mr Walsh, in conjunction with business partner and television identity Graham McNeice has bred over 200 individual winners which have won races on tracks all over Australia.
Just some of the winners include Krazelberg, Jovial Prince which won the Queensland Cup, City winner Trackball, The Group 2 winner Walk On Air, winner of the 2003 Blamey Stakes, and one time Magic Millions favourite Elegant Flight.
One of Mr Walsh’s personal favourites was Cobbitty Gold a winner of 14 races.
He also speaks highly of Victory at Sea which has just returned to the racing stables for its second season at racing after being given time to mature. In his first campaign with just a handful of starts it had two wins, three places including a third at Rosehill.
“Victory at Sea is probably the best horse I have ever bred and raced and he is just coming back into work now,” John said.
“I am pleased to be working with Semco Equipment Sales and looking forward to advising potential customers on the farming or construction equipment to suit their needs.
“The New Holland tele handlers have been well received since we established the Ross St sales centre, as have the skid steers and the tractors right from the 20 horsepower boomers which are ideal for the small size farms with only a few acres have also proved really popular.”
The larger machines with computer assist technology are ideal for people who are looking for serious production maximisation on their rural property.
With a wide range of attachments and accessories designed for the New Holland tractor range these powerplants can be transformed to perform a wide variety of farming and construction functions.
“Other well known brand names we supply include Case, Takeuchi, Toro, Southern Cross, Hardi and K-Line to name a few,” Mr Walsh said.
“Don’t forget that you can get your spare parts through Semco Goulburn and if required Allan Churchill and his team can fit them on farm or at your worksite.
