After showing at the NSW Dorset show held at Cowra in June and gaining a first and a second placing in the novice ram class with two young rams bred using Hilden and Tattykeel bloodlines, Scott and his partner Gemma decided to enter the Australasian Dorset Championships held in Bendigo for the experience with no real expectations but to see how their rams compared to others in the country, needless to say they were very pleased to be awarded second place in their class, ram born after June 1 the previous year.
This class of 32 entries was the largest of the day at Bendigo.
The Middle Arm stud was founded by Scott and Lynn Madden in 2010 and joins approximately 100 ewes per year and is based on renowned bloodlines of Pinewalla, Armdale, Hillden and Tattykeel.
They pride themselves on breeding quality, correct, grass fed rams and are very pleased with the selection that will be offered for sale this year and feel that they fit will fit the needs of prime lamb producers.
All rams offered are weighed and scanned with figures available they are brucellosis accredited and Gudair vaccinated.
Glenwood Park sale will be held on Saturday November 22 at the Binda Recreation Area, inspection is at 10 am with the sale conducted by MD and JJ Anderson to start at 12 noon.
Feel free to come along and have a look at these young rams, including the show ram who will be retained at stud, and have a chat, barbecue lunch and refreshments will be available.
