As well as all the usual Horses, Beef and Dairy Cattle, Dogs, Chooks and Pavilion, this year for the first time ever at our show, we have a Miniature Goat Section.
They will be judged on Saturday, but we will have a display of these really cute fellows on the Friday.
As an added extra this year we have chook washing on Friday as well as Saturday, which to all accounts is great fun.
Always a great crowd pleaser is Ron McKinnon’s bullock team, the Farmyard Nursery will be back, as well as the old steam engines from the Berrima District machinery Club and for the first time in a few years the Living Sculpture boys will be standing perfectly still all over the showground.
Friday is Children’s Day, with lots of fun with a Potato theme for primary school kids – potato sack races, potato and spoon races, potato relays etc etc as well as Junior Paraders competitions and Junior Vegetable, Fruit and Grain judging for the Secondary Schools.
Saturday is Fun Overload Day, with push bike races, gig races, the Famous Robertson Potato Races for Juniors and Women carrying 12.5 kg sacks of potatoes, and for Men carrying 50kg (YES 50Kg) sacks, around the ring for 400 metres.
There are also various events for all ages; egg throwing, pumpkin lawn bowls, ute pulls, hay stacking, red neck relay, pie eating and dog jumping to name a few!
The Grand Finale on Saturday night is the Demolition Derby with lots of smoke, steam, crashes and bangs, followed by more smoke and banging of the Fireworks display.
