The event is now in its fifth year, and outlines the benefits of olive oil both to your body and to your life in general.
“We produce an award winning olive oil which is entirely Australian made, and so we will be opening the doors to our boutique factory and showing the public how the olive oil & olives are made,” Grandmas at the Farm owner Dana Kvatinsky said.
On the day there will be an opportunity for everyone to get some tips on olive growing as well as tasting sessions, and from 10am there will even be an exclusive for the kids: a free cookie baking class.
“Book quickly for this session, as places are limited, and it is proving to be extremely popular,” Ms Kvatinsky said.
“Kids will be able to have fun making & decorating their cookies and can also take them home.”
At noon there will be a Chefs cooking demonstration using olive oil and you will find that there is a great variety of dishes that can be cooked & baked using olive oil.
“We will also be running free guided tours around the boutique factory in the olive grove,” Ms Kvatinksy said.
“The farm has around 6,000 trees which have been cultivated since the grove started 14 years ago.
"There’s no need to book for these tours, just come and have a look. We have our regular customers as well as those who have come from as far away as Canberra, Sydney and Wollongong to sample our delights. "
Parents will also be able to enjoy the delights of olives and olive oil for themselves, with the Grandma’s shop open selling an award winning variety of olive oil & olive oil infused products, as well as cooking products, frozen meals, frozen pastries, dips and spreads.
For those with a sweet tooth, there are also delights such as Grandma’s range of cookies, cakes, jams, preserves, etc.
The staff of the restaurant at Grandmas at the Farm will also be more than happy to serve you any dish from their menu, including some olive dishes & baking products that have been made especially for the day.
All their food is made with natural ingredients and no added preservatives and they also have their unique blend of Grandma’s coffee, milkshakes & fresh juice.
