Quest General Manager(Brand), Tony Gauci and Quest Nowra Franchisee, James Blanchett joined Mayor Gash to celebrate the grand opening, with a cocktail party held at the new property.
Mayor Gash was then formally welcomed by Quest and addressed guests, during which she spoke about the economic and employment benefits the new development would provide the Shoalhaven.
“Quest Nowra provides the Shoalhaven with the type of high quality serviced apartments this area has needed for some time,” Mayor Gash said.
“With the continual expansion of HMAS Albatross, the Aviation Technology Park, Flinders Industrial Complex and the ever expanding Cancer Care Centre, this type of accommodation has become critical for the area.
I would like to welcome James and the team from Quest Nowra to the area and wish them all the best for their long term success,” she concluded.
Quest General Manager (Brand), Tony Gauci also expressed his excitement about opening this new property in such a thriving region.
“Quest Nowra will meet the needs of a flourishing commercial and industrial centre,” he said.
“South Nowra is home to one of the largest industrial estates south of Sydney.
The naval air station HMAS Albatross is located just 10 kilometers southwest of the town, while HMAS Creswell is located 35 kilometres south of the town at Jervis Bay.
Also, the South Coast Sub-Region (which covers Nowra to Eden) received over 2.3 million domestic overnight visitors in 2014 and domestic room nights spent for business purposes grew by 84.6 percent compared with the previous year.
Demand for Quest’s style of extended-stay corporate accommodation continues to grow and prior to Quest Nowra there were not enough options available in the area.
I am thrilled to officially open the property this evening and am sure James and the team are more than capable of delivering the Quest standard of high quality accommodation and personal genuine service that our staff are renowned for.”
Quest Nowra Franchisee, James Blanchett echoed Mr Gauci’s sentiments and confidence in the new property to successfully meet the needs of a growing corporate sector.
“Having come from Quest Corporate Head Office, I understand the comprehensive process undertaken when deciding on a new location,” he said.
“When I heard a property was planned for Nowra, I knew it was a fantastic opportunity to fill a gap in the market and build a strong, successful business.
Nowra and the wider Shoalhaven region have a growing requirement for new accommodation, and I’m confident that Quest Nowra will meet this need.
I am overwhelmed at the genuine, warm welcome we have received from the local business community and I’m looking forward to working together to ensure Nowra continues to grow from strength to strength.”
Located at 130 Kinghorne Street, Quest Nowra was designed and constructed by the Joss Group, featuring 81 studio, one, two and three bedroom serviced apartments with kitchen and laundry facilities, separate living/dining area, LED Smart TV, Wi-Fi, Foxtel, onsite car parking, a rooftop barbecue area, gymnasium and conference room facilities.
Guests will also have access to Quest services including local restaurant chargeback, pantry shopping, dry cleaning and business administration. 2015 continues to be an exciting year of growth for Quest across Australasia, opening 10 new properties in Australia and three in New Zealand.
