Dejected business owner Bilal El Mohamad said security cameras partially captured two men smashing $1150 worth of reinforced glass with a baton and rocks about 2.45am Saturday.
“I only put new [frosted glass] signs up a week ago; that’s all down the drain now,” he said. “Are these people ever going to leave me alone? What do they want from me?”
Last month a graffiti message – ‘f-ck off dog’ – was sprayed on the shop windows – prompted suggestions of Islamophobia in some quarters.
The vandalism led to the ‘#illsupportyou’ event, aimed at encouraging young business people.
Mr El Mohamad said be believed both attacks were “targeted” and he is investigating the cost of security shutters.
