The campaign promotes the store’s Woolmark-certified knitwear collection and features Stephanie Field, who grew up on the property with parents Michael and Angela Field.
Shooting on her family’s farm was a first for Field, who said being able to share where she grew up with the crew was “an incredible experience”.
“It made me feel proud of who I am and where I come from.
It’s not often you have the luxury of shooting in the comfort of your own home,” Field said.
While Jugiong will always be home, Field now resides in New York and has walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week.
Back home, Field recalled life on the farm.
“We would wake up, let the dogs and chooks out, feed them and have breakfast.
Then help dad in the shed for a little bit.
Then muster the sheep into another paddock/the yards using my horse with my sister Laura and my brother Thomas’ help.
By this time it’s usually lunch, then it’s back to work, cleaning the troughs and feeding the animals,” Field said.
She made the move to New York in 2014 to pursue her career in modelling, but has not forgotten her roots.
“Growing up on a property has taught me to be very down to earth and not to boast about what you have done or achieved,” Field said.
“It has also taught me to be very organised.
Living on a property you cannot just run down to the shops if you have forgotten something.
So I feel as though I learnt to always be organised and prepared for anything from a very young age!”
Field is passionate about promoting Australian wool and merino wool.
“I think that it is very important to stay true to yourself and support where you came from; and growing up in a wool orientated family my values are to stay true to that always,” Field said.
“It’s my dad’s passion and I will support him in any way, shape or form that I can - one day I hope to be as successful as him in promoting Australian wool.”
Jeanswest general manager of product, Adam Lloyd, said working with The Woolmark Company demonstrated Jeanswest’s continued commitment to increasing their premium category in conjunction with traceability and transparency in relation to its sourcing while supporting the Australian wool industry.
The Woolmark logo is one of the world’s most recognised and respected brands, providing assurance of the highest quality, which was very important to Jeanswest, he said.
“The Woolmark association brings with it the highest level of quality and integrity, so our customers can be assured they are purchasing superior, premium knitwear that will last the test of time,” he said.
“We are passionate to tell the story behind our collections and working closely with The Woolmark Company provided us the opportunity to trace where the wool originated from for our new AW16 Woolmark range as well as shoot our campaign on a woolgrowing property; for us, this reflected our commitment for complete transparency and traceability within our business.”
The campaign was shot by renowned fashion photographer Steven Chee.
