“Rural women play an important role in our local communities, demonstrating a passion and commitment that makes a difference,” said Kiama MP Gareth Ward.
“It is important to recognise and appreciate the valuable and diverse roles that rural women shoulder to support our local community.”
All rural women nominated will be included in the 2016 Hidden Treasures Honour Roll.
The roll will be officiated at the annual NSW Rural Women’s Gathering being hosted by women from Broken Hill, October 28-30.
To nominate a Hidden Treasures volunteer, complete a nomination online via dpi.nsw.gov.au. Nominations close on Monday, August 1.
