Friendly dogs and their human companions are welcome to join Mollie in celebration.
Mollie was adopted from the RSPCA in 2010. Her first wine, 2015 Mollie’s Block Sauvignon Blanc, won a silver medal at the Canberra and Region Wine Show.
Earlier this year the Murrumbateman Winery family expanded to include Tannin, a boisterous kelpie border collie pup also from the RSPCA.
“Mollie and Tannin are part of the family and we can’t imagine our life without them,” said Bobbie Makin, Murrumbateman Winery owner and winemaker.
“Last year we became an ACT RSPCA supporter because we wanted to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the staff and volunteers.
“Over the last 12 months we have fund-raised over $2000 through sales of Mollie’s wine and homemade dog bone biscuits. We also raised over $700 as part of Canberra’s Next Top Dog competition and donated over 150 toys through our Christmas dog toy drive.
“I’m really proud of the contribution we’ve made and hope we can raise even more over the next 12 months,” Makin said.
Murrumbateman Winery cellar door is at 131 McIntosh Circuit.
