Four years ago, directors of Rare Cancers Australia, Richard and Kate Vines, walked from Canberra to Mt Kosciuszko’s summit to help raise awareness of challenges rare cancer patients face. Some 30 people took part in that first Kosi Challenge. This year, 240 climbed the summit, raising more than $90,000. The 2017 challenge is on March 18, so to help raise money for patient support, treatment, research and advocacy, see rarecancers.org.au to register.
