Their entertainment program has expanded into two new precincts and parents will have the opportunity to rest and relax in the new parents’ room while the kids play.
The show boasts large and competitive sections for horses, cattle, sheep, wool, yard dogs, horticulture and produce. Competitors will come from the Canberra region, New South Wales and as far afield as South Australia.
Whether you’re a baker, knitter, sheep farmer, grain grower or artist, you’ll find plenty of classes to enter and fabulous prizes on offer. There are many opportunities for students to participate too, with junior classes in all pavilion sections, while most livestock sections offer junior handler and junior judging classes.
Bring the family and try the fresh, healthy produce in the Harvest Hall, or try a more exotic option in the multicultural food area. There’s plenty for the little kids to do with games, cooking demonstrations, rides, showbags, an animal nursery, a milking barn and free entertainment, plus thrilling rides for big kids of all ages.
