Marulan Meats is a place you can step back in time. The eight-strong team, who between them have 150 years’ experience, always have time for a chat and a laugh and offer service with a smile. Yvonne Hughes and her husband, Ray, took over the already established business in June 2017. “We want to ensure the community always has a local butcher shop for them and a place where you can be assured of quality meats and treats plus have a friendly chat and leave with a smile on your face,” she said.
Marulan Meats is the spot to get a whole range of fresh meats – beef, lamb, pork and chicken and any type – local, grass fed grass finished, organic, free range, grain fed as well as homemade meat pies, sausage rolls, artisan breads, stir fry meals, lard, chicken stock and bone broth, smoked goods and a small range of seasonal fresh veggies.
The team also caters for corporate and community functions and is heavily involved in and supportive of the local community.
Marulan Meats is a historic gem of Marulan and a place that has been an operating butcher shop since 1868. “It is more than a business, it is a place for locals and anyone else from anywhere to enjoy, take a step back in time and be content, fulfilled and happy with the quality of produce, the variety of produce, the service received and the change in the back pocket,” Yvonne said.
