Board of Sheep Producers Australia has begun its search for a chief executive officer

The Board of Sheep Producers Australia has begun its search for a chief executive officer. President Allan Piggott said Sheep Producers Australia was coming to the end of a six-month transition. New governance structures and processes has been implemented, following industry consultation.

“SPA was launched in November 2017, replacing Sheepmeat Council of Australia, following adoption of a new governance framework and transition to a company limited by guarantee,” Mr Piggott said.

“Since former CEO Dr Kat Giles resigned in November … we are now looking to appoint [and] have [a] person in place for 2018-19 to carry on important policy and advocacy work. The CEO will report to the board and have full responsibility for management of the day-to-day operations of business and staff through … the Sheep Industry Strategic Plan.”
