Lamb numbers eased and there were 6,500 head of new season lambs penned. The quality was plainer with plenty of light store lambs. Trade and heavy lambs were in shorter supply. Old lambs were limited and there was a small run of light Merinos. Most decreased by $8 to $11/head in the cheaper market.

Restocking new season lambs sold from $32 to $115, with trade weights reaching $115/head. Trade weights sold from $120 to $150 and the few heavy new season lambs sold from $150 to $183/head. Most averaged approximately 650c/kg cwt.
Old trades started at $104 and sold to $136/head. Heavy weights reached $150 and extra heavy old lambs topped at $180/head. Merino lambs sold to $104/head.
Mutton numbers more than halved and the quality was very mixed. Light weights were better supplied, while heavy weights were limited. Light sheep were close to firm, while medium and heavy mutton eased $14/head. Medium weights sold from $64 to $110/head. Heavy sheep made from $91 to $124/head. Most averaged approximately from 350c to 370c/kg cwt.

Cattle numbers lifted and the quality was again mixed. Feeders and Restockers purchased most of the young cattle. Prime trade cattle were limited with the majority of the yarding lacking condition. Prime grown cattle were in short supply and around 400 cows were penned along with close to 100 open auction calves. Young cattle were firm to slightly dearer. Light plain cows sold stronger and heavy cows were back with a large number just having the open auction calves taken off.
Light weaner steers made from 145c to 205c with the heavy weights reaching 260c/kg to feed. Weaner heifers sold from 157c to 205c with the best of the vealers 238c/kg. Feeder steers were firm and sold between 226c and 255c/kg. Heifers made from 190c to 247c/kg for heavy weights. Trade heifers reached 257c/kg.
Prime grown steers reached 275c and heifers 235c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows were 8c dearer and sold from 125c to 178c to average 148c/kg. Heavy cows were cheaper, from 166c to 198c with a single C muscle cow reaching 215c/kg.
