Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Nicholas Young and 10-string Spanish classical guitarist Matthew Fagan are creating stunning new arrangements.
These include the famous folk-inspired ballet music of Manuel de Falla to the Spanish dances evoked by Isaac Albeniz; Joaquin Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez, combined with stunning orchestral realisation by piano; and Egberto Gismonti’s Frevo Rasgado, first brought to fame by guitarists Paco De Lucia and John McLaughlin. This will be transformed for concert piano and 10-string guitar.
Matthew Fagan is a virtuoso guitarist and performs on a unique 10-String Spanish and Celtic steel string guitar.
With a passion for both classical and modern piano performance, Nicholas Young is emerging as one of Australia's most captivating and versatile young musicians.
Young and Fagan will be performing at the Wolumla Hall on Saturday October 13. Doors open 7pm.
Wolumla Memorial Hall is on the corner of Bega and Scott streets in Wolumla.
