The Ride With Pride charity event is in its eighth year and has raised over $300,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation during that time.
Organiser Di'hanne Keir said they held the Ride With Pride event at a different location each year.
"This is the first time we have come this far south and all the funds raised go directly to the Monaro region for transport and accommodation for people suffering from blood cancers," she said.
Ride coordinator, Tony Hart said they only took 50 riders on the week long event.
"We set up a stationery camp at Yarrawonga where we can come in and set up electric yards and offload our horses.
"Participants can camp at the location, usually camping in tents, cars, caravans and horse floats.
"All the meals are held in the indoor arena at Yarrawonga with caterers from Wollongong, serving meals for riders," Mr Hart said.
"Each day we have a set ride, it's not marked and we take two groups - the 'Walk and Talk' group and a second group that is a bit faster is called the 'Banter and Canter' group.
"The rides are coordinated so that we meet up for lunch before we take off again to meet up for the evening camp.
"On average we travel between 15 and 20 kilometres per day," he said.
Ms Keir went on to say that they had organised games and entertainment happening in the evenings for participants.
"There was a huge auction on Tuesday night with karaoke, raffles, a movie night along with the "Op Shop" formal dress up night.
"It should be interesting to see what people dress up in," she said.
If people want to donate to the cause they can go to www.ridewithpride.com.au website and donate as a sponsor.
"Bombala Forestry NSW has donated $2200 bringing the total raised by Friday to $12,500 and that was even before we got started," Ms Keir said.
