Ann and Gerry are the owner-operators of Tuggeranong Homestead in the ACT, a roughly 70 acre property which is also still a small working farm.
"What we're finding is there's an interest now in classical and historical venues that have some meaning and atmosphere. Not many places have gardens like we do. It's like going back in time with the gardens," says Ann.
The property also has lots of rustic, nostalgic and scenic backdrops. "It's a photographer's delight" adds Gerry.
"It's special" notes Ann, "because there are so many unique photo opportunities and backdrops from classic, vintage, garden, and you can still get a formal photo in there."
"It's also a relaxing place" illustrates Gerry.

Ann and Gerry encourage you to visit a number of times during the planning stage in order to feel comfortable with them, and feel that you're part of the property "so that when it comes to the big day, they just know exactly what to do" Gerry says.
That can have one minor drawback, but it's actually a really sweet one.
"I think the hardest thing for the couple is they sometimes have a relationship with us and the homestead during the lead-up" Ann recalls. The fact is "they're going to miss visiting."
It's also not just the couple who has been visiting in the lead-up. Every member of the family and friends who have volunteered to help organise or arrange anything are welcome to arrange visits with Ann and Gerry in order to make sure everything run smoothly.
In terms of who is in charge of the proceedings though, Ann notes that "We don't want to run their day for them, but we do help them, everything is here", even a knife for the cake if you forget one.
In terms of convenience, it's only a short distance from Tuggeranong which has plenty of accommodation available.
When it comes to the catering, it is presented as a buffet and "there is plenty of food, there's no portion control" Ann notes. They are also eager to make sure that any specific dietary requirements are provided for.
Tuggeranong Homestead has a long history and as such it also attracts some military couples from Duntroon for example.
The interest there is because Charles Edwin Woodrow Bean and a team of historians recorded the Official History of Australia in the War of 1914 - 1918 whilst they occupied the property from October 1919 to April 1925.
You can actually go to tuggeranonghomestead.com.au/history and read about the property from its Indigenous origins through to the modern day.
These days, the property also has a cafe-style area that people can sit and mingle.
They also pointed out that guests are welcome to wander around and exploring the house and convict barn. You can even bring in other activities if you want to, like a mechanical bull or a jumping castle.
You don't have to spend the whole day there either. If you want the wedding to be at a church instead, you can still have your reception at Tuggeranong Homestead. The way you arrange your day is entirely up to you.
