Numbers improved this sale and quality was mixed. There were some strong lines of finished cattle offered, along with plainer types. Yearlings were most of the offering, plus a good penning of cows. Buyers competed in a dearer market.

Vealer steers and heifers sold from 160c to 260c/kg. Yearling steers to processors improved by 8c to sell from 280c to 323c/kg. Plainer types made from 240c to 308c for middle weights, and from 285c to 322c/kg for heavy weights. Light weights sold to restockers from 242c to 312c/kg. The heifer portion to processors improved from 10c to 13c, to receive from 254c to 329c/kg. Unfinished lines were 4c better, making from 216c to 285c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks sold from 260c to 315c/kg. Grown heifers made from 225c to 282c/kg. Cows increased by 20c, with heavy 2 scores selling from 198c to 232c, while 3 scores made from 220c to 265c/kg.

Numbers decreased, with lamb and mutton showing the decrease. Lamb quality was mixed, with a good selection of well finished lambs offered, along with plainer types. Buyers competed in a dearer market.
Light lamb sold from $140 to $165/head. Trade weights were $3 to $6 dearer, at $162 to $231/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were $6 to $10/head dearer. Heavy lambs to 26kg sold from $228 to $259/head. Extra heavy weight lambs made from $275 to $342/head. Carcase prices averaged from 915c to 978c/kg cwt. Mutton quality was mixed. Prices showed a dearer trend. Merino ewes sold from $120 to $190/head. Crossbred ewes varied from $120 to $236 and Merino wethers sold from $121 to $170/head.
