There was a good small run of well finished shorn trade and heavy lambs, along with lambs lacking cover and weight.
Merino lambs were in short supply and all the regular buyers were operating in a dearer market.
The 2 score processing lambs were $13 dearer, making from $110 to $150 a head. Restockers paid to $174 a head. The medium weight trade lambs to 22kg were $18 dearer, receiving from $166 to $238 a head, averaging from 970c to 1020c/kg.
Lambs weighing 22-26kg were $10 to $12 stronger, making from $224 to $270 and lambs over 26kg sold from $241 to $329 a head, averaging from 970c to 990c/kg cwt.
Merino trades sold from $167 to $190 a head or 850c/kg cwt on average. Hoggets reached $225 a head.
Mutton numbers eased slightly and the quality was again mixed, with all weights and grades represented.
Prices were dearer, with medium weight ewes making from $125 to $190 a head. Heavy crossbreds reached $239 and Merino ewes made $215 a head. Heavy shorn Merino wethers topped at $239 a head. On average, carcase prices averaged from 660c to 720c/kg cwt.

Numbers more than halved for a very mixed quality yarding at Yass on Thursday.
Most of the young cattle were light weights and most sold to similar prices. The few that had some condition and sold to feedlots sold to a dearer trend. No heavy prime grown steers and heifers were yarded and there was a mixed run of about 150 cows.
Steer weaners to restock sold from 245c to 328c/kg. The heifers ranged between 226c and 245c/kg for D muscle and 281c and 285c/kg for the C muscled. Medium and heavy feeder steers lifted 9c selling from 270c to 318c/kg and heifers lifted 5c to 10c to sell from 248c to 290c/kg. The best of the heavy trade steers reached 296c/kg.
The 2 tooth steers to feed sold from 270c to 315c and grown heifers to process 245c to 270c/kg. Cows sold to a dearer trend of 3c to 5c with 2 score medium weight cows 199c to 248c/kg. Heavy 3 and 4 scores 246c to 270c, averaging 260c/kg on the limited numbers.
