Grabine Lakeside Holiday Park will again be the hosting venue for the 19th annual Grabine Freshwater Fishing Tournament.
On from Friday August 23 to Sunday August 25, this event is a 100 per cent catch-and-release competition.
Another way to phrase that might be; pics or it didn't happen.
You, or more likely your fishing companion, need to get a good clear digital photo of each fish you catch, and then you unhook it and set it free back in the water.
When they introduced the photography format for the entries, the organisers said "we want to run a successful tournament with minimal impact on fish numbers and hopefully educate a few people in sustainable fishing practices."

The 2018 tournament had a whopping 889 entries, and with $5 from each entry going to the Crookwell Community Trust that meant $4,445 was donated last year. The purpose of this trust is to provide immediate financial assistance to those in real need of it around the local region.
If you're worried about the water level in the Wyangla Dam, yeah, it's low in relation to its capacity. Drought will do that. But there's still plenty of the wet stuff with fish swimming in it; more than enough for the purposes of running this tournament.
The event is designed to appeal to "everyone from the keenest tournament anglers, casual fishos right through to whole families camping out together for the weekend," the committee says.
Plenty of people will be camping for the whole weekend, so that gives you the opportunity to meet other fishing enthusiasts, or catch up with old mates whom you haven't seen since the last tournament.
There are categories for each type of fish, as well as categories to get the junior anglers involved. 228 fish were landed last year.
You need to be registered before you go out and cast a line, and at this stage (check closer to the event) fishing times will be from after registration at 8am Friday, and all pictures must be entered by 10am Sunday.
Fish that are found in this water include:
- Catfish
- Silver perch
- Golden perch
- Carp
- Murray cod
