Yearlings made up the majority of the yarding and there was a lighter and plainer run of cows.
Feeders and backgrounders purchased most of the young cattle, with little quality for trade buyers.
There were not many heavy cattle penned.
Cattle with weight and breeding sold to similar prices and light secondary cattle sold cheaper.
Young weaners sold from 155-230c/kg to return to the paddock. Medium weight feeder steers were firm making from 250-290c/kg.
Heifers were also firm selling from 238-258c/kg. Heavy feeder heifers eased 6-9c, making from 250-266c/kg.
The few trade cattle that sold from 271-305c eased 10c/kg. Prime grown steers made a top of 293c/kg and 2 tooth heifers also made a top of 293c/kg to processors.
The 2 score cows eased 8c, making 145-180c/kg. Heavy cows averaged firm, however, there were a lack of prime 4 score cows. Prices made from 240-250c/kg.

Lamb numbers improved and the quality was mixed with 1700 new season store lambs and 1500 mostly trade new season lamb offered.
The old lambs were again mostly trade and heavy weights and there was a very limited supply of extra heavy lambs. The quality of the old lambs was well below the quality of last week. Light Merinos were well supplied. The market sold to a cheaper trend.
New season store lambs made from $122-$155/head. Medium and heavy trade weights sold from $140-$175 to make $4/head cheaper. Heavy new season lambs made up to $190/head and carcase prices averaged from 780-790c/kg cwt.
Old 2 score processing lambs were $25 cheaper making from $80-$94/head. Medium and heavy trade weights sold from $114-$144/head and heavy lambs made $160-$176/head. Extra heavy weights sold up to $200/head. Merino trade lambs made from $104-$144/head.
Mutton numbers lifted and the quality was a little plainer. Prices eased up to $20/head and more on the heavy weights. Medium weight ewes sold from $90-$136/head.
Heavy crossbreds made from $131-$160/head and heavy Merino ewes sold from $121-$178/head. Merino wethers made a top of $175/head. Most ranged from 480- 550c/kg cwt.
