A few good yarns, a paddock to plate dinner, raffle prizes and a night away from the farm; that's the focus of Goulburn's Agriculture Gala Dinner on the November 14.
The event will actually be celebrating the third annual National Agriculture Day a week early, with the aim to increase awareness about the national day which is on November 21.
The national initiative celebrates the pivotal contribution that farmers make to Australia. To mark this special occasion, Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDA Southern Inland), along with a number of sponsors, have organised the Ag Day Gala Dinner at the Grace Milsom Centre from 6pm.
The dinner will celebrate the contribution farmers make to the industry and provide an opportunity for farmers and the community to come together.
Project Officer at RDA Southern Inland, Camilla Staff, emphasised that the event would be a positive and uplifting celebration of local agriculture.

The night will feature Glenn McGrath AM as keynote speaker, a former Australian Test Cricketer, farmer and president of the McGrath Foundation. Glenn was born in Dubbo and raised in Narromine NSW on a farm.
Glenn will talk about his childhood growing up in the country and the highs and lows he has experienced in sport.
"Glenn McGrath grew up in country NSW, still has an interest in farming, and like all people throughout their careers, experienced highs and lows. More than anything, this event will provide farmers with a night off, an opportunity to switch off and listen to some great stories," said Ms Staff.
Prior to the dinner, Glenn McGrath will host a junior cricket clinic for local cricketers at Seiffert Oval in Goulburn from 4pm.
Then, the paddock to plate dinner, led by Chef Steve Walker, will feature and showcase the incredible local produce that we have in the Southern Inland region, including pork belly from Dewsbury's Pork, potatoes from Crookwell, Murray Cod from Goulburn's Marianvale Blue and almonds from Steve's Farm.
Raffles prizes will also be drawn on the night, which will include two tickets to the Pink Cricket Test in Sydney and one night's accommodation. A proportion of each ticket sale will be donated to the McGrath Foundation.
RDA Southern Inland would like to thank the sponsors for this event; Coordinare South Eastern NSW PHN, Goulburn Post, Divalls, NSW Farmers, Local Land Services South East, Agnew Building Supplies, Department of Primary Industries, Tablelands Farming Systems and Southern Region Business Enterprise Centre.
