Cattle numbers eased slightly and the quality improved. There was a good run of one mark heavy cows. Yearlings were limited but the quality improved. Grown cattle were again in short supply. The few weaners sold from 260c to 278c/kg for the steers. Restocking yearling steers made from 270c to 295c/kg. Medium weight feeder steers sold from 270c to 305c/kg. Heavy weights made a top of 296c/kg. Feeder heifers sold from 269c to 282c/kg. Trade cattle made from 280c to 311c/kg.

The limited supply of grown steers and bullocks reached a top of 310c/kg and C muscled grown heifers sold from 268c to 271c/kg. Heavy cows sold from 208c to 247c/kg. The 2 score cows were stronger, making from 196c to 212c on limited numbers. The calves sold to $285/head for the steers and $235/head for heifers.

Lamb numbers nearly halved. There were almost 3,000 new season lambs penned. The quality was a little plainer in the trade and heavy lamb runs. New season lambs made from $103 to $150/head. Medium and heavy trade weights sold from $153 to $174/head. Heavy lambs made $176 to $194/head. Old trade lambs ranged from $140 to $161/head. Heavy weights sold from $171 to $195 and extra heavy lambs made a top of $214/head. Mutton numbers eased and quality was good. Prices increased, with medium weight ewes selling from $110 to $147/head. Heavy crossbred ewes made $144 to $177/head. Heavy Merino ewes reached $188/head. Heavy Merino wethers topped at $200/head.
