The quality was good and trade and heavy weights were best supplied.

There were a few more store lambs penned but they were not in large numbers.

Old Merino lambs were mostly lighter weights and there were a few heavy weight old lambs.

The market sold to a softer trend.

New season lambs to restockers made from $109-$155 a head.

Medium and heavy trade weights were $3-$4 cheaper with the support of the restockers and sold from $162-$175 a head or 750-790 cents a kilogram carcase weight.

Heavy lambs eased $7, selling from $172-$201 a head. Extra heavy lambs reached $238 a head.

Old Merino lambs made from $125-$166 and trade lambs sold from $130-$154 a head, while heavy crossbreds reached $250 a head.

Mutton numbers fell and the quality was good. Ewes eased up to $10 a head and the wethers were firm with a few extra restocking orders.

Heavy crossbred ewes reached $175 and Merinos up to $174 a head. Most averaged from 520-580c/kg cwt.

Cattle numbers eased and the quality varied.

There were some very good trade cattle and some ideally weighted feeders along with plain runs of light weights.

Grown steers and heifers were limited and about 130 cows were penned.

Light young steers to restockers sold to a dearer trend and made from 234-284c/kg.

Yearling steers were 3-6c cheaper on the medium and heavy feeders despite a good run of medium weight steers.

Medium weights sold from 250-289c and the heavy weights made from 270-300c/kg.

Medium weight feeder heifers were also 7c cheaper, receiving from 245-280c/kg.

The few heavy trade cattle made from 300-310c/kg remaining firm.

Prime grown steers sold from 280-315c and heavy grown heifers to processors made from 262- 298c/kg.

Cows were 6c cheaper on the lighter weights with the 2 score cows making from 180-234c/kg.

Heavy cows were up to 9c stronger selling from 215-265c/kg with the high yielding cows averaging 258c/kg.
