Police officers from Lake Cargelligo say fences were cut on a rural property on Kidman Way at Mount Hope.
The offence occurred in the early hours of Monday, October 28.
"Police and the landholder believe the damage could have been caused by illegal hunters trespassing on the property," State Rural Crime Co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
"Offenders involved in illegal hunting, trespassing and associated offences are being actively targeted by members of the Rural Crime Prevention Team."
Detective Inspector Whiteside said police operations were ongoing throughout this region and he urged anyone with information on this or any other similar offences to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
