Lamb numbers eased and the quality was mixed with more light and plainer lambs penned. There was a good run of trade and heavy weights which were mostly woolly new season lambs. A few more shorn lambs were in the market but still were limited.

Lambs to restock and feed sold to a dearer trend with restockers paying from $86 to $138/head for the majority of their lambs. Feeders paid to $159 a head. Medium and heavy trade weights to 22kg sold from $126 to $160 and 22-24kg lambs made from $158 to $175 or 700-730 cents a kilogram, easing $2 to $3 a head.
Heavy lambs over 24kg sold from $180 to $199 and extra heavy weights made from $195 to $217 a head. Extra heavy shorn lambs topped at $236, gaining $8 to $10/head. Heavy hoggets lifted $10 reaching $220 a head. Merino lambs sold from $136 to $168 for the trade weights lifting $6 a head.
Mutton numbers eased slightly and quality was mixed with more light weights penned. Prices were $2 to $6 dearer on the lighter weights and $15 to $20 a head on the heavy mutton. Heavy crossbred ewes reached $211 and Merino wethers made to $200 a head. Most averaged from 570-630c/kg cwt.

Cattle numbers lifted with the rise predominately in the heifers run. The quality was good with a lot of cattle with weight and condition. Yearlings were well supplied and competition was strong from all buyers.
Grown steers were limited and there was a good run of heavy cows. Young cattle sold to a dearer trend while cows were cheaper.
Vealer steers returning to the paddock sold to 324c/kg and the heifers to 262c/kg. Yearling steers to feed jumped 25c/kg on the medium weights and 9c/kg on the heavy weights making from 265-319c/kg. Feeder heifers were around firm, making from 240-282c/kg. Trade heifers improved 6c, selling from 280-289c/kg.
A plainer and smaller run of grown steers made from 265-285c/kg. Euro 2 tooth heifers sold from 280-290c/kg. Cows were 7c/kg cheaper on the medium weight 2 scores, selling from 192-214c/kg.
Heavy 3 and 4 score cows were 8-10c easier with the majority selling from 205- 248c/kg with high yielding C muscled cows selling to 262c/kg.
