They are continuing to provide the service their many established customers are accustomed to.
They purchase and sell large and small lots of wool, selling by tender in house thus cutting out some of the handling costs.
Some producers choose to bring their wool clip direct to the facility at Gunning while others choose to have Greg and John appraise and pick up their wool from the farm.
Southern Wool Traders has a client base that extends throughout southern NSW and beyond.
They will handle any wool from before and after shearing clean up pool bales to full clips of pre-classed wool.
As well as full clip pre classed lots they cater for small scale producers with only a few sheep who do not have enough wool to fill a bale.
Southern Wool Traders offers an in house testing service and can supply wool packs too.
Greg and John have almost 60 years combined experience in the wool industry.
They are keen to provide producers with appraisals on their wool, value it and buy it on the spot, or sell it by tender.
For more information about Southern Wool Traders’ services call Greg McDonald and John Burton at their Dalton Rd, Gunning office and warehouse on 02 4845 1457 or Greg on mobile 0408 483 489 and John on 0419 603 357.
The office, warehouse and testing facilities, are just over the railway line from Gunning township in view of the railway station.
