“It was nice to have a good fishing weekend for a change with snapper being on the menu for most of us on Sunday,” publicity officer Jenny Wallace said.
Anthony McLennan won A category by reeling in a 2.965kg snapper, edging out Rod Hawken with his 2.79kg fish.
In category B, Sam Hicks weighed in what could be an end-of-year prize winning trevally at 1.315kg and Steve Beroukas was runner-up with a 1.49kg morwong.
The club’s weigh master, Andrew Turner, took out the senior category with a shark weighing in at 12kg.
Three juniors weighed in fish last weekend.
Carl Cotterill won the junior’s prize with a 2.815kg snapper and Connor Purdom and Dylan Art also weighed in fish.
The club’s next competition will be on October 11 and 12.
