A 59-YEAR-OLD Queanbeyan man has been conveyed to Queanbeyan Hospital with suspected chest injuries after a three-car collision this afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 4.30pm on the Lanyon Drive / Canberra Avenue roundabout.
The local man was briefly trapped in his white sedan with NSW Fire and Rescue workers cutting off the driver’s door to free him. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
The westbound lane of Canberra Avenue was closed for about 40 minutes while Queanbeyan Police carried out their investigations and interviewed witnesses.
Police believe the accident was caused after one of the drivers failed to give way. The other drivers involved did not sustain any injuries.
