Funding provided by Catchment Action NSW will support activities to protect and enhance Superb Parrot habitat by improving the condition, extent and connectivity of remnant native and significant riparian native vegetation.
These priority vegetations are in the Upper Lachlan and Murrumbidgee sub-catchments, and related activities will seek to re-establish vegetation corridors and reduce stock access to waterways.
Wetlands of the Southern Tablelands will also be conserved by establishing native vegetation and other soil stabilisation works to prevent erosion.
The grants can be used to provide materials for standard fencing, revegetation and alternative stock water.
To express interest, landholders can call Greening Australia on 6253 3035 or go to southeast.lls.nsw.gov.au.
